CUMBERLAND, MD – Police in Cumberland announced the arrest of seven people for trespassing in two unrelated incidents.
On Wednesday, at approximately 10:30 pm officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 30 block of Queen City Drive for a reported trespassing complaint. Upon officer’s arrival they located Nicholas Craig Moreland on the property. Officers then learned that Moreland had been previously trespassed from the property, and placed him under arrest. Moreland was later released on a Criminal Citation pending his trial at District Court.
At 11:45 pm officers on patrol in the area of the 30 block of Greene Street when they located several individuals in a city park after it was closed. These individuals were advised previously in the evening of the park’s closure time, and were advised to leave the park prior to its closure. All were issued Criminal Citations for trespassing and released pending their trials at District Court.
Brian Edward Conn, age 52; Stephen Kenifer, age 69; Melony Lynn Melvin, age 39; Crystal Nicole Rymer, age 31; Jeannie Ann Rymer, age 55; and Andrew Jeremiah Seifert, age 43; all of Cumberland were charged for trespassing by police.
