17-Year-Old Assaulted, Robbed on SEPTA Train

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 17-year-old was assaulted and robbed on a Philadelphia SEPTA train over the weekend.

According to police, “On Saturday,= at 11:35 am, the victim, a 17-year-old-male, was on the SEPTA subway Market Frankford Line when the suspect, an unknown black male, got on the train.”

A short time later the suspect grabbed ahold of the victim’s green Motorola G Stylist cell phone while punching him in the face several times forcing him to let go of the phone.

“When the train pulled into the station, the suspect fled from the train. The victim then chased the suspect and confronted the suspect. The suspect then stated and simulated he had a gun. The victim then backed away,” police reported.
