GLEN BURNIE, MD – Police arrested 43-year-old Joseph Brocki of Hanover, Maryland after he allegedly rammed a police car during a routine traffic stop.

According to police, on Tuesday, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers were responding to a report of a domestic assault that just occurred at the Cromwell Shopping Center.

“Responding officers observed the suspect vehicle. Before officers could activate their emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop the suspect put the vehicle in reverse and rammed the occupied police vehicle. The police vehicle was damaged, but the officer did not receive any serious injuries,” police said. “The suspect vehicle fled the scene and was observed by another officer a very short distance away. That officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle proceeded through a red light where it was struck by a civilian vehicle. There were minor injuries to the occupant/driver of the civilian vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody.”
