CRANFORD, NJ – Police in Cranford have released details about two incidents that took place recently that ended with arrests. The following reports were provided by the Cranford Police Department.
On June 17, at approximately 7:07 pm police stopped a 2003 White Van on North Avenue at Elizabeth Avenue for seatbelt and equipment violations. Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz arrested the driver, Federico Ferreira Germosen, and passengers Licona Serrano and Carlos Lorenzo for Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs and CDS Paraphernalia.
All 3 were processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. Ferreira Germosen was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended, CDS in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to inspect a vehicle and multiple equipment violations and was turned over to the New Brunswick Police Department on an outstanding warrant. Licona was issued a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt.
Last Wednesday, at approximately 7:27 pm. a 1999 tan GMC was stopped on Raritan Road at Coleman Avenue for moving violations. Subsequent to an investigation, Patrolman Christopher Gross arrested the driver, Jonathon Langel, for possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of CDS Cocaine, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was processed and provided a Superior Court Appearance Date. In addition, Langel was issued motor vehicle summonses for improper turning, failure to maintain lane, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and an equipment violation.
