Man Shot Multiple Times in Atlantic City Expected to Survive

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Gunfire erupted in Atlantic City around midnight on Monday and by the time police arrived, one male was found shot multiple times.

According to police, at 11:58 PM, patrol officers responded to the 600 block of North New York Avenue in reference to a ShotSpotter alert. ShotsSpotter is an audible tracking system that helps police triangulate gunshots within minutes of them being fired.

“Responding officers arrived and located a male shot multiple times,” police said. “The victim, 42, of Atlantic City, was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of life-threatening injuries.”
