38 Year-Old Man Shot and Killed in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place on May 10th. This incident happened on the 2600 Block of Stanton Road in Southeast D.C. This is being investigated by the Homicide Branch of the Police Department.

According to detectives, “At approximately 9:30 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim, inside of the location, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC FEMS members transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.”

 38-year-old James Curtis, of Southeast, D.C. was named as the victim.
