Anne Arundel Crime Report: Shots Fired, Commercial Robbery

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has published the following police blotter incidents from the past 24 hours:

𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 – 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸

On April 19, 2022, at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to a fight involving several individuals in the area of West Hilltop Road and Old Riverside Road in Brooklyn Park. A caller reported they heard a gunshot and saw a possible victim on the ground. Responding officers did not locate any of the combatants or victims of the possible shooting. Officers recovered a spent shell casing from the roadway. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the tip line at 410-222-4700.


𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘆 – 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿

On April 20, 2022, at approximately 1:05 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 1401 Dorsey road in Hanover for an armed robbery. The suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and stole cash from the registers before fleeing on foot. A responding officer located the suspect in the 7500 block of Teague Road in Hanover. A bag containing a stolen .40 caliber Springfield XTS handgun and cash was recovered near where the suspect was found. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗹

On April 20, 2022, at approximately 3:40 a.m. an officer was patrolling the area of Duckhorn Way in Laurel due to recent reports of thefts from motor vehicles when he was flagged down by a victim who caught a suspect inside his vehicle. The suspect was found to have multiple outstanding warrants for theft and burglary and was arrested and charged accordingly.
