LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Hebbronville Station apprehended an active gang member south of Hebbronville, Texas.
The incident occurred on Dec. 13, when agents apprehended the undocumented individual near State Highway 16 south of Farm to Market Road 3073. He was identified as Melvin Salgado-Delgado, a 41-year-old Mexican national. Record checks revealed that Salgado-Delgado had an extensive criminal history and identified as an active MS-13 gang member. He was referred for federal prosecution for his immigration violation and remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
