Detectives continue investigation into shooting death of 22-year-old in Fort Washington

FORT WASHINGTON, MD – Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Tuesday evening in Fort Washington. The victim is 22-year-old Johnathan Legrand of Temple Hills. 

On July 27, 2021, at approximately 4:05 pm, officers responded to the 400 block of Bentwood Drive for a reported shooting. Officers discovered Legrant outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at a hospital. 

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case.
