ROXBURY, MA – Boston police officers executing a routing traffic stop on Saturday found more than they expected after searching the drive of a vehicle and his passenger. Police uncovered a handgun during a search of the suspect.
According to Baltimore Police, at about 1:29 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2021, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite firearm arrest of Tyrice Green, 31, of Quincy.
The arrest was made following a traffic stop in the area of 45 Mount Pleasant Avenue in Roxbury.The officers had stopped a motor vehicle as part of an investigation when they removed the suspect who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Officers were able to safely recover a 9mm Glock 19 handgun from the waistband area of the suspect following a pat frisk. The firearm was loaded with one round of ammunition in the chamber and sixteen rounds in the magazine.
The suspect was placed in custody on the scene without incident and will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
