1978 NYC Murder Finally Solved, Suspect in Custody
New Haven, CT – On Wednesday morning at 6:00 a.m., “Leandro Teissonniere”, 64, was taken into custody by the Connecticut Based U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force (CTVFTF), U.S. Marshals / NYPD Regional Fugitive Task Force (RFTF), and the New Haven Police Department. Leandro Teissonniere was arrested at 210 Davenport Avenue New Haven, CT.  On December 11, 1978 in the area of 1751 Lexington Avenue in New York City Leandro Teissonniere is accused of shooting and killing Estaban Vega. Leandro Teissonniere is charged with (1) count of Murder in the second degree out of New York City.  The U.S. Marshals, NYPD, and the New Haven Police Department worked closely together to apprehend Leandro Teissonniere in New Haven. Teissonniere was apprehended without incident and was transported to the New Haven Police Department and charged as a Fugitive from Justice pending extradition to New York City.
