Camden, N.J. – A Willingboro woman was arrested on May 16 for stabbing a man the day before, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Lindenwold Police Chief Michael P. McCarthy Jr.
Imani Williams, 22, of Willingboro, has been charged with one count of first-degree Attempted Murder, one count of first-degree Robbery, one count of third-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, one count of fourth-degree Possession of a Weapon, and one count of fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Detectives say Lindenwold Police responded to the Woodland Village Apartments on Friday shortly after 7 a.m. for a report of a man bleeding and asking for help. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Through the investigation, detectives learned Williams reportedly stabbed the victim after he refused to give her money.
Williams was apprehended Saturday in Westampton with assistance by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division, Westampton Police, and Lindenwold Police. She was remanded to the Camden County Jail pending a pretrial detention hearing.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
