HACKENSACK, N.J. — A Hackensack man was arrested Thursday on multiple drug charges after police seized significant quantities of heroin, crystal methamphetamine, and cocaine during a court-ordered apartment search, authorities said.

According to the Hackensack Police Department, 42-year-old Jhoan Ferreira-Diaz was taken into custody after a Superior Court search warrant was executed at an undisclosed apartment on April 3. The investigation was conducted by the department’s Crime Suppression Bureau, led by Detective Michael Reo under Detective Lieutenant John Dalton.
The search uncovered more than five ounces of heroin individually packaged for street-level sales, over seven ounces of crystal methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia used in manufacturing and distribution.
Charges include distribution near park
Ferreira-Diaz was charged with multiple drug offenses, including first-degree distribution of heroin and methamphetamine, and second-degree possession with intent to distribute both substances within 500 feet of a park. Additional narcotics-related charges were also filed.
He was processed and transported to Bergen County Jail, where he awaits his initial court appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
