MIDLAND, PA – April 1 was no joke for one Pennsylvania Lottery player who won $2 million in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions® drawing after purchasing a Megaplier® ticket in Beaver County.

The winning ticket, sold at Midland Beer Distributor at 233 Midland Avenue in Midland, matched all five white balls — 11, 12, 21, 29, and 49 — but missed the yellow Mega Ball, which was 3. The ticket would have been worth $1 million, but the additional $1 Megaplier® purchase doubled the prize to $2 million.

For selling the winning ticket, Midland Beer Distributor will receive a $10,000 bonus.

Megaplier® is a feature that multiplies non-jackpot winnings by up to five times, depending on the number drawn. In this drawing, the multiplier was 2x.

More than 18,500 Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions® tickets won prizes in the April 1 drawing, including over 4,200 with the Megaplier® option.

Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. Tickets purchased in-store must be signed immediately and validated to claim.
