BRONX, N.Y. — A 31-year-old woman was found shot dead inside her Bronx residence late Tuesday night after police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and pronounced Hoyle dead on arrival. No weapons were recovered, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.

“The investigation remains ongoing,” the NYPD confirmed in an official statement. No suspects have been named or arrested as of Wednesday morning.
