BARNEGAT, NJ — The Barnegat Township Police Department officially welcomed Patrolman Stephen Adams to its ranks on Tuesday, swearing in the seasoned officer during a ceremony attended by his family, friends, and fellow law enforcement personnel.
Adams, who now holds badge #475, brings nearly a decade of policing experience to the department. He began his law enforcement career in 2017 as a Class II officer with the Seaside Heights Police Department. He later served with the Harvey Cedars Police Department in the same role before becoming a full-time Patrolman with the Tuckerton Police Department in 2020.
In addition to his police service, Adams holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology from Stockton University. The department described him as committed both to his profession and to his family.

“We congratulate Patrolman Adams on this achievement and look forward to the positive impact he will have on the Barnegat Township Police Department and the community we proudly serve,” the department stated.
Barnegat police also extended their appreciation to Mayor Cirulli, Administrator Martin Lisella, and the Township Committee for their continued support of public safety efforts.
