Bullet-riddled Baltimore man flees scene and seeks help blocks away

BALTIMORE, MD – A 38-year-old man was wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning and managed to drive himself to a separate location for help, according to police.

Just after 6:10 a.m. on March 30, multiple calls reported gunfire in the 100 block of East 23rd Street. Responding officers canvassed the area and located evidence of a shooting, but no victims were found at the scene.

Shortly afterward, officers were called to the 2500 block of North Howard Street, where they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim told police he had been shot on East 23rd Street before driving himself away from the scene.

He was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital. His condition has not been publicly released.

Eastern District detectives are handling the investigation and are working to determine the events leading up to the shooting.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.
