OWINGS MILLS, MD – A Baltimore County medical worker has defied the odds by winning her third top prize in Maryland’s Bonus Match 5 game, claiming a $50,000 jackpot from the March 29 drawing.

The longtime player, who exclusively plays Bonus Match 5, purchased a $6 ticket with nine lines of numbers and struck gold on the fourth line, matching all five winning numbers: 4, 16, 18, 22, and 31. The Bonus Ball was 21.

She previously scored top prizes in the mid-2000s and again within the past 12 to 15 years, all from quick-pick tickets. Her dedication to the nightly game has now paid off for a third time in two decades.

Unlike many players who rotate between different games, she sticks only to Bonus Match 5, checking the results on her phone every evening.

The winning ticket was purchased at Royal Farms on Red Run Boulevard in Owings Mills. The store received a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.

This marks the seventh Bonus Match 5 top-prize win in Maryland so far this year. The game allows players to pick five numbers from 1 to 39, plus a Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34. To win the $50,000 top prize, all five main numbers must be matched.

Lower-tier prizes range from $2 to $600, depending on the number of matches.
