WASHINGTON, D.C. A thief caught on surveillance footage is now the focus of an investigation into a vehicle break-in that occurred earlier this month in Northwest.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on March 10, officers responded to the 800 block of 4th Street NW after a victim reported that someone had stolen property from their vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, and authorities are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
