PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A 41-year-old man was shot on a roadway near 60XX Market Street in the 19th District early Tuesday morning, police said.
The shooting occurred at approximately 12:04 a.m. The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the lower back and was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Authorities have taken a person of interest into custody, and a firearm was recovered at the scene. The Shooting Investigation Group is leading the ongoing investigation.
