West Nyack Road closure set for Monday as revitalization project advances

WEST NYACK, N.Y. — A section of West Nyack Road will close Monday as the second phase of the West Nyack Revitalization Project moves forward, town officials announced.

The closure will begin on the eastern side of the West Nyack Post Office and will remain in effect 24 hours a day until the necessary infrastructure upgrades are complete. Crews will focus on stormwater management and flood mitigation, according to the Clarkstown Police Department.

Detours will be in place, ensuring access to the business district during the construction period.

The revitalization project aims to improve parking, pedestrian accessibility, and overall traffic flow in the area. Utility wires will be moved underground, and new sidewalks, streetlights, a fountain, and green space will be installed.
