WASHINGTON — Senator Lindsey Graham said Friday that he does not believe the United States can continue doing business with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a heated exchange in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Graham, a longtime Republican foreign policy voice, expressed strong support for Trump’s handling of the meeting, which reportedly turned confrontational after Zelenskyy pushed for greater U.S. support in Ukraine’s war against Russia.

“I have never been more proud of the president. I was very proud of JD Vance standing up for our country,” Graham said. “What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful. And I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelensky again.”

Graham also criticized Zelenskyy’s approach during the high-stakes discussion. “The way he handled the meeting, the way he confronted the president was just over the top,” he said.

The remarks highlight growing tensions between the Trump administration and Kyiv, as the U.S. reassesses its role in the ongoing conflict.
