Two arrested in Dover shooting, including 17-year-old suspect

DOVER, Del. — A 17-year-old male and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Village Drive, the Dover Police Department announced.

Detectives identified the 17-year-old as the shooter and determined he was driven to the scene by Rouma Aldonza, 22, of Dover. Officers located the suspect vehicle at Woodmill Apartments on South Farmview Drive around 7:18 p.m. and arrested both individuals without incident.

A subsequent search warrant at an apartment in the complex led to the discovery of a 9mm handgun, police said. Investigators confirmed that Aldonza transported the suspect to the shooting location.

The 17-year-old was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and reckless endangering. He was committed to Stevenson House Detention Center on $88,000 cash bail. Aldonza faces similar charges and was committed to SCI on $68,000 cash bail.

A teenager and an adult face felony charges after police linked them to a shooting in Dover, authorities said.
