DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump arrived at Daytona International Speedway to a thunderous ovation Sunday as his motorcade, led by the presidential limousine known as “The Beast,” entered the infield at 1:58 p.m.
The crowd, packed with supporters, erupted in cheers as Trump’s vehicle made its way through the secure area. Fans clad in “Make America Great Again” hats lined the track, their cheers audible over the booming music playing throughout the venue.
The Daytona 500 has long been a major event for Republican politicians seeking to connect with NASCAR’s fan base. Trump previously attended the race in 2020 as the sitting president, famously taking a lap around the track in his limousine.
Cheers from the crowd near the motorcade were so loud they could be heard from a distance, even over the high-volume music blasting through the speedway.
Trump’s appearance at Daytona underscores his continued popularity among NASCAR fans, many of whom have been vocal supporters of his political campaigns.
