WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 17-year-old was shot and killed in Southeast Washington on Tuesday evening, and police are searching for suspects in the deadly attack.
The shooting took place just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 3500 block of 6th Street SE. Officers arrived to find two victims, identified as 17-year-old Izaiah Huggans and a 16-year-old boy, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Huggans was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
