WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was found shot to death Tuesday morning in the Congress Heights neighborhood of Southeast Washington, prompting a homicide investigation, police said.
Just after 8:30 a.m. on February 4, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Congress Street following a report of an unconscious person.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot. He was unresponsive and not breathing. Despite emergency efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
