MIDDLETOWN, PA — A Powerball® ticket with Power Play® worth $100,000 was sold at a Wawa in Holland, Bucks County, for the Monday, Jan. 27 drawing, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced Tuesday.
The winning ticket, purchased at the Wawa located at 236 Holland Pike, matched four of the five white balls drawn—2, 40, 47, 53, 55—and the red Powerball® 20. The Power Play® multiplier of two doubled the prize from $50,000 to $100,000. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.
Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim prizes and should immediately sign the back of their tickets. Online winnings are automatically deposited into players’ accounts once validated.
More than 16,600 additional Powerball® tickets in Pennsylvania won prizes during the same drawing, including over 3,300 tickets with Power Play® and more than 2,100 with Double Play®.
The Powerball® jackpot has rolled to an estimated $69 million annuity, or $30.7 million cash, for Wednesday’s drawing.
