WASHINGTON, D.C. — A robbery involving a stolen coat and two stolen vehicles is under investigation after a group of suspects assaulted a victim Saturday afternoon in Northeast D.C.
The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Second Street, where the suspects approached the victim, assaulted him, and stole his coat. The group then fled the scene in two stolen vehicles: a white Hyundai Elantra with Virginia license plates UCZ6524 and a black Hyundai Elantra with North Carolina license plates KCZ7931.
Nearby surveillance cameras captured both the suspects and the vehicles. Police have released photos in hopes of identifying those involved.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects is urged to call police at (202) 727-9099 or text an anonymous tip to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
