WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Wall Township police officers made a series of arrests over a six-day period last week, citing charges ranging from drug possession to driving while intoxicated and outstanding warrants.
On Tuesday, January 14, Patrolman Kevin Orender stopped two individuals in separate motor vehicle incidents on State Highway 35. Offaga Melvin, 51, of Neptune, was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Julia Hunter, 37, of Neptune City, was arrested for possession of heroin, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia but was released on a summons after processing.
Two days later, Patrolman Trent Powers arrested Vincent Iacono, 29, of Wall, following a motor vehicle accident investigation on Third Avenue. Iacono was charged with possession of heroin, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia and was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
On Friday, January 17, officers made two arrests for driving while intoxicated. Patrolman Josh Wheeler stopped Miguel Gonzalez, 39, of Wall, on State Highway 35, while Patrolman Clint Forgach arrested Willie Garner, 25, of Brick, on State Highway 70. Both individuals were processed and released under the conditions of John’s Law.
The following day, Saturday, January 18, multiple arrests were made. Patrolman Connor Caponegro arrested Tobin Teufel-Coppa, 36, of Toms River, on an outstanding warrant out of Howell Township after a motor vehicle stop on Landmark Place. Patrolman Wheeler detained Kevin Bachmann, 41, of Malaga, on an outstanding warrant at the Franklin Township Police Department; Bachmann was subsequently transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman Tyler Martin arrested Jahleil Brown, 27, of Neptune, for driving while intoxicated following a stop on State Highway 35, with Brown also released under John’s Law.
The series of arrests concluded Sunday, January 19, with three additional incidents. Patrolman Vincent Colucci arrested Shilove Nieves, 36, of Bayville, on charges of cocaine possession, drug paraphernalia, and an active warrant from Bradley Beach. Nieves posted bail and was released on a summons. Colucci also arrested Jaleek Davis, 32, of Asbury Park, on a Union Beach warrant following a traffic stop on State Highway 35; Davis was released after posting bail. Later that day, Patrolman Wheeler arrested Kassidy Lutz, 30, of Wall, for shoplifting during an investigation on State Highway 35, releasing her on a summons.
In total, 11 individuals were arrested during the period, with charges reflecting a variety of alleged offenses.
