STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Two juveniles were taken into custody Monday afternoon after assaulting another juvenile and brandishing a firearm, later identified as a pellet gun, in North Stafford’s Highpointe Subdivision.
The incident occurred on January 14 at approximately 4:16 p.m., when deputies responded to reports of a juvenile being assaulted and threatened with a gun. The victim told deputies that two individuals approached them while they were walking home, with one suspect confronting them about a rumor before displaying the firearm. Both suspects then assaulted the victim before fleeing on foot.
Deputies, using descriptions provided by the victim, quickly located and detained the suspects at a nearby 7-Eleven on Garrisonville Road. A search of their belongings revealed a pellet gun resembling a Glock handgun.
The suspects, a 15-year-old male wearing a ski mask and Adidas sweatpants, and a 13-year-old female described as heavy-set with twists in her hair, were charged with acts of violence by mob, assault and battery, and brandishing a firearm. Both were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office praised deputies for their swift response, which led to the resolution of this serious incident.
