EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A New Jersey man has been identified as the Philadelphia Eagles fan caught on video shouting vulgar obscenities at a female Green Bay Packers fan during a recent playoff game, sparking widespread backlash over fan conduct.
The individual has been identified as Ryan Caldwell, a project manager with BCT Partners, a consulting firm based in East Brunswick, N.J.
Caldwell’s social media profiles have been removed since the incident.
The incident occurred when Caldwell allegedly directed a slur at the woman, calling her an “ugly dumb c—” in response to her support for the Packers, according to witnesses.
No charges have been filed, and it remains unclear if stadium security intervened during the confrontation.
BCT Partners addressed the incident in a statement, saying, “The management at BCT Partners has been made aware of a video circulating involving an employee making offensive remarks outside of the workplace. BCT Partners denounces this type of behavior, and we take this matter extremely seriously.”
The Eagles organization has not commented on the incident, which has reignited discussions about fan behavior at sporting events.
The video, shared widely on social media, has drawn mixed reactions, with some fans defending the behavior and others condemning it as unacceptable.
The Eagles won the game 22-10, as the Packers struggled with injuries and costly penalties.
