LAUREL, MD — Two Maryland men were arrested Monday in connection with a series of robberies targeting convenience stores in the Laurel area, police announced.
Officers responded to a robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 3393 Laurel Fort Meade Road on January 6 around 11:35 a.m. after a male suspect implied he had a weapon and stole merchandise before fleeing in a gray sedan.
A responding officer quickly located the vehicle, a 2018 gray Nissan Rogue, and identified the passenger as the suspect involved in the robbery. Both the driver and the passenger were taken into custody.
The passenger, identified as 33-year-old Troy Arias Coley of New Carrollton, was also linked to two additional robberies: a January 2 robbery at a High’s store in Jessup and another robbery at a 7-Eleven in Laurel on January 5.
The driver, identified as 50-year-old Terrance Demond Spruill of Joppa, was also arrested in connection with the January 6 incident.
