Scott released a comprehensive first-term accomplishment report on Tuesday, titled “Building Baltimore’s Future Together,” which outlines significant progress made during his administration in public safety, youth investment, community health, neighborhood development, and responsible governance over the past four years.
The report highlights key achievements, including a 22.4% reduction in homicides and a 34.6% reduction in nonfatal shootings in 2024 through the implementation of community-based violence reduction strategies and police reform. Mayor Scott emphasized the importance of addressing crime at its roots, describing the approach as building “a safer, more just city for all.”
Youth investment was another focal point, with expanded educational opportunities, job programs, and mentorship initiatives. The administration prioritized creating spaces and programs that empower young Baltimoreans and set the foundation for the city’s long-term success.
