PARKVILLE, Md. — A loyal Baltimore County Lottery player’s dedication paid off in a big way after his persistence with the same Powerball numbers landed him a $50,000 prize in the December 16 drawing.
The retired laborer, who plays the same five rows of numbers for both Powerball and Mega Millions drawings, matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. His winning numbers were purchased during the Maryland Lottery’s Jackpot Reset promotion at Perry Hall BP, located at 8809 Belair Road in Nottingham.
While he narrowly missed the $55 million jackpot, swapping 29 for 57, the longtime player was thrilled with his $50,000 win. The winning numbers for the drawing were 9, 30, 33, 57, and 61, with a Powerball of 17.
He plans to use the prize to pay bills and buy extra gifts for his family this holiday season. Still committed to his lucky numbers, the Parkville man is already preparing to enter the next Mega Millions drawing with an $825 million jackpot up for grabs.
The Perry Hall BP retailer also shares in the excitement, as the Lottery win has brought added buzz to the Baltimore County store.
