CHERRY HILL, N.J. — The Cherry Hill Police Department and Cherry Hill PBA Local 176 held their 6th annual “Shop with a Cop” event on Saturday, providing local families with an opportunity to shop for holiday gifts alongside uniformed officers at the Target Cherry Hill store.
The event, aimed at fostering community relationships while helping families in need, was made possible through the support of local organizations, including the Volunteers of America and Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey. Police officials expressed their gratitude for the partnerships that contributed to the day’s success.
Local businesses also played a significant role in the event. Chick-fil-A Cherry Hill and the American Legion Cherry Hill NJ provided food and additional support, ensuring participants had a memorable experience.

The annual program pairs officers with children from local families to shop for gifts, with the police department noting the importance of building trust and connections within the community. “The spirit of giving was in full effect today!” the Cherry Hill Police Department wrote in a social media post following the event.
This year’s “Shop with a Cop” continues the department’s tradition of combining community service with the holiday spirit, bringing together families, officers, and local organizations.
