HOLMDEL, N.J. — As reports of unidentified drone sightings continue to surface across Monmouth County, the Holmdel Township Police Department is working with local, state, and federal partners to investigate the activity, officials said Friday.

The department emphasized that there is currently no evidence suggesting the drones pose an immediate or credible threat to public safety.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious drone activity by contacting the Holmdel Police Department at 732-946-4400. Additionally, sightings or related information can be submitted directly to the FBI’s Newark Office through its tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or online at www.tips.fbi.gov, where videos can also be uploaded.

Police have advised the public not to approach any downed or landed drones, reiterating that investigation and response to such incidents are being handled by law enforcement and federal agencies.
