TRENTON, NJ – A single Powerball ticket sold in New York has claimed the $256 million jackpot from Saturday night’s drawing, making it one of the largest lottery wins of the year. The cash value of the prize is $123.5 million before taxes.

In New Jersey, a ticket sold at Krauser’s on West Main Street in Chester matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, securing a $50,000 prize for the player.

The winning numbers for the Dec. 7 drawing were 01, 31, 43, 55, and 57, with the Power Ball number 22 and a Power Play multiplier of 2X. In addition to the big winners, over 24,000 New Jersey players collected prizes ranging from $4 to $200, totaling an estimated $128,773.

The Powerball jackpot will reset to $20 million for the next drawing, scheduled for Monday night at 10:59 p.m. Players are reminded to check their tickets for potential winnings in both the primary and secondary prize categories.

The separate Double Play drawing on Saturday night produced the numbers 08, 10, 39, 57, and 61, with a Double Play Ball of 12. While no players hit the top prize in the Double Play feature, many smaller prizes remain unclaimed.
