GLEN BURNIE, MD — Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Friday morning in Glen Burnie after a man was held at gunpoint and robbed shortly after withdrawing money from an ATM.

Officers responded to the 200 block of 6th Avenue Northeast at approximately 11:44 a.m. on November 29, where they spoke with the 48-year-old victim. According to police, the man was approached by a suspect who brandished a black handgun and demanded money. The victim complied, and the suspect fled in an older model gray Honda Civic with unknown Virginia license plates.

The suspect is described as a Black male who was carrying a cross-body bag and armed with a black handgun.

Detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern District are handling the investigation.

Authorities continue to search for leads in the robbery case as they work to identify the suspect.
