GERMANTOWN, MD. — A lucky Powerball player in Germantown is $50,000 richer after purchasing a third-tier winning ticket with the Double Play option for the November 25 drawing.

The ticket, sold at Shoppers Food on Mateny Road, matched four numbers and the Powerball in the Double Play drawing, which occurred 30 minutes after the main Powerball drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 13, 25, 27, 39, and the Powerball was 10.

Double Play, an add-on feature for Powerball tickets that costs $1 extra, gives players a second chance to win prizes of up to $10 million. While no Maryland players hit the main Powerball jackpot on November 25, over 8,200 tickets statewide won prizes ranging from $4 to $200.

The next Powerball drawing, scheduled for November 27, features a jackpot of $196 million, while Mega Millions offers an estimated $489 million jackpot for tonight’s drawing.
