WASHINGTON, D.C. — The S.O.M.E. America’s Trot for Hunger 5K, scheduled for Thursday, November 28, will result in widespread parking restrictions and street closures across downtown Washington, D.C., during the morning hours.
Emergency No Parking zones will be in effect from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on portions of Pennsylvania Avenue, 13th Street, 3rd Street, Independence Avenue, 4th Street, and D Street. Vehicles parked in violation of posted signs will be ticketed and towed.
Street closures will also take place in two phases. From 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., vehicle traffic will be restricted on Pennsylvania Avenue from 9th Street to 14th Street and other surrounding streets. Additional closures, including Pennsylvania Avenue from 3rd Street to 9th Street, Constitution Avenue from 3rd Street to 7th Street, and several connecting streets, will occur from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
