FAR ROCKAWAY, N.Y. — A 35-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday morning behind a residential building in Far Rockaway, Queens, according to the New York Police Department.
Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:04 a.m. reporting a male shot in the rear of 1025 Beach 20th Street. Upon arrival, police found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
Emergency medical services transported the man to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until proper family notification is made.
Police have not made any arrests as of Sunday, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
