FAIRBORN, OH — A lucky lottery player in Fairborn is celebrating after winning $50,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s Money Maker scratch-off, officials announced Friday.

The winning ticket was purchased at the BP gas station located at 871 N Broad Street. The winner, who admitted the news left her stunned, said, “I didn’t know what to do.”

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, she will take home approximately $36,000. She plans to use her winnings to buy a new vehicle and pay off debt.

Money Maker is a $30 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $80,000 a year for 25 years. As of Thursday, five top prizes remain unclaimed, along with thousands of other cash prizes.
