D.C. police arrest two suspects in violent armed robbery

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this month in Northwest D.C., authorities announced Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday, November 6, at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of 9th Street, Northwest. According to police, the suspects approached the victim, brandished a firearm, and demanded property before fleeing in the victim’s vehicle.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested 22-year-old Julius Prince of Northwest D.C. on Wednesday, November 20, and charged him with robbery and carrying a pistol without a license. Additionally, 18-year-old Jeremiah Hasty of Northeast D.C. was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

The Metropolitan Police Department credited their investigation for identifying and apprehending the suspects, who are now facing multiple charges related to the crime.
