Upper Marlboro, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department has apprehended three individuals linked to a fatal shooting in late July. The suspects include 22-year-old Samuel Nnam from Upper Marlboro and two 17-year-old males, one from Hyattsville and the other from Greenbelt. They face adult charges for the murder of 23-year-old Jordan Swan of Bowie.
Officers responded to a shooting that occurred on July 29 at around 1:55 p.m. The incident took place in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road, located in the unincorporated area of Greenbelt. Upon arrival, police found Swan with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of an apartment building. Swan was transported to a hospital, where he was declared dead shortly after.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspects shot Swan during a robbery. It was also established that Nnam was acquainted with the victim.
The three suspects are charged with first and second degree murder along with related charges. Currently, they remain in the custody of the Department of Corrections without bond. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516
