HAGERSTOWN, MD — Two suspects are in custody after a Hagerstown man was injured in two separate shootings last week, according to police.
The first incident occurred on Monday, November 11, around 7:20 p.m., when officers responded to the 100 block of W. Bethel Street after hearing gunshots. The victim, a 26-year-old Hagerstown resident, was found with a gunshot wound.
The second shooting happened on Friday, November 15, at approximately 2:40 a.m., in the 200 block of W. Franklin Street. Officers arriving at the scene discovered the same man had been shot again, this time in the shoulder. The victim was taken to Meritus Medical Center with injuries that were non-life-threatening.
Police arrested 27-year-old Cameron Taylor Cross of Hagerstown in connection to the Monday shooting. The suspect faces charges including attempted first-degree murder and assault, in addition to multiple weapons violations. Days later, officers located a second suspect tied to the Friday shooting in the 400 block of Jonathan Street.
Authorities continue to investigate the incidents as the victim recovers from his injuries.
