Police Release Video of Suspects Wanted for Deadly Shooting of 16-Year-Old Columbus Boy

COLUMBUS, OH — Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying individuals connected to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy last month on the city’s North Side.

Me’Khi Keys was found with a gunshot wound shortly after midnight on October 30 in the 1000 block of East Weber Road, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Officers responded to the scene at 12:03 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting.

Keys was transported in critical condition to Riverside Hospital by Columbus Fire Division medics but was pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m., police said.

Authorities released a video showing individuals they believe may have information related to the case and are urging the community to help identify them. Investigators are particularly interested in obtaining footage from cameras near East Weber Road or Howey Road, south of East Weber, during the time of the shooting.

Anyone with relevant footage is encouraged to upload videos directly to detectives using a link or QR code provided by the department. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Keys’ death remains ongoing.
