QUEENS, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City Department of Sanitation employee was arrested early Sunday morning in Queens, according to police. Aidan Murtagh, 24, was taken into custody around 1:08 a.m. within the confines of the NYPD’s 104th Precinct, which covers neighborhoods including Ridgewood, Glendale, and Middle Village.
Murtagh, a sanitation worker with the Department of Sanitation (DSNY), has been charged with third-degree assault. Details surrounding the incident that led to the charge have not been disclosed, and it remains unclear if any injuries were reported or if other individuals were involved.
