Two Staten Island Kids Robbed on Way to School, Police Seeking Suspects

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery of two teenage boys on Staten Island last month. The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects, who allegedly threatened the teens with a firearm.

The incident took place on Thursday, September 17, at around 10:44 a.m. in the vicinity of Hamilton Avenue, within the 120th Precinct. According to police, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were on their way to school when they were approached by two unidentified individuals. One of the suspects reportedly displayed a firearm from his waistband, prompting the teenagers to surrender their backpacks.

After taking the backpacks, the suspects fled on Hamilton Avenue in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Both suspects are described as males with dark complexions. The NYPD has released images of the individuals wanted in connection with this incident and is urging anyone with information to contact authorities as the investigation remains ongoing.
