13-year-old arrested for violent squeegee attack in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — A 13-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with an aggravated assault involving a squeegee in Baltimore’s Western District, the Baltimore Police Department announced. The incident occurred near the 500 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:25 a.m. on October 29, where they found a 51-year-old man with injuries to his neck and face. Authorities reported that the juvenile suspect allegedly assaulted the man while he was in his vehicle, using a handheld squeegee as a weapon.

Police quickly disseminated a description of the suspect to officers in the vicinity, leading to a swift search of the surrounding area. Officers located the 13-year-old suspect a short distance away in the 900 block of Myrtle Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident.

The juvenile was subsequently transported to the Juvenile Justice Facility for processing and detention, according to police. No further details about the condition of the victim or the specific circumstances of the assault have been released.
