NEWBURGH, N.Y. — The New York Lottery announced that a top-prize winning ticket for the Oct. 26 TAKE 5 midday drawing was sold in Newburgh, awarding the ticket holder $18,468.50.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road, according to lottery officials. TAKE 5 is a daily draw game in which winning numbers are selected from a pool of 1 through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Lottery prizes can be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing, giving winners ample time to redeem their tickets.

This Newburgh win comes on the heels of other recent TAKE 5 top-prize payouts across New York, as residents try their luck in the popular twice-daily game.
